Fun Things We Can Learn from Children
I have been going into schools, daycares and yoga studios teaching children how to do yoga.
After teaching a group how to be a "Mountain", I asked them to use their imagaination and think of what else is special about a Mountain.

The children taught me how to be an "Avalanche" by starting in the Mountain pose with our arms in the air and then swishing the arms from side to side, until the knees are completely bent and the hands are on the ground. Of course, children accompany each swish from side to side, with the "swish"sound.

This type of dramatic play is excellent for allowing children to feel empowered through their creativity and for teaching new vocabulary and concepts.
